FAQ
What should students wear to class?
Something Comfortable, leggings or track pants and a t-shirt are fine and we train barefoot. Students will be able to purchase a Karate Gi for $50, or may be able to source on second hand from gum tree or buy and sell, just please ensure that it is plain white without any printed or embroidered logos. Please remember a drink bottle too!
Will home school Classes be graded?
Not necessarily, however all students that attend our Home School Classes will achieve a certificate of attainment at the end of each term. At the end of every school term our regular dojo’s in Harrisdale and Kwinana hold a grading. Any student that has shown themselves ready to grade will be given an invitation to attend to be assessed by our panel for their next belt.
Will we need to buy any equipment?
No, not initially. Students that achieve a Yellow belt will be moving into doing more partner work and will require their own personal protection equipment such as glove, shin pads and mouth guards. This is usually after 6-9 months of regular training.
